Hi So I wanted to ask, has anyone tried the technique of using setting powder to blot before foundation and if so, has it helped with the oil control and did you like the feel of it once everything was done ?

Yes, it’s a great old school technique for aiding oil control, in addition to using a good mattifying primer in oily areas. I would just say, be sure to tap off any excess powder first if using a brush and if using a powder puff scrunch it into the puff of tap it onto the back of your hand, so that you don’t apply too much product or end up with makeup that looks patchy or cakey.
