I often find when using foundation that my skin always looks

Hi it could be a few things, if your skin is dehydrated it will take any moisture from your foundation leaving it cakey looking after wearing for a few hours. You may need to prep the skin really well before applying and/ or use a hydrating primer. If it goes on cakey all over you could try applying a very small amount and blend it out, if it’s still happening even with well moisturised skin, it may be that the formula is too matte for your skin type and you need a more hydrating foundation.

The best way to ensure foundation looks great is to make sure you hydrate and moisturise your skin before application. Leave this to soak in and use small amounts of foundation and build up your desired coverage. I find that using a damp beauty blender helps to sheers out foundations so they don’t look too cakey. After applying use a setting spray and this will help to melt everything in together and lock in place.
