I would love to be able to create a simple smokey eye that is not too bold as I would like to keep the rest of my makeup natural. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated - Donna x

Smokyeye is my fave look to create! And there are million ways to do it too 😍 I actually love the Nars signature style to do smoky eye: "it's not a color it's a technique" where the darkest color is on the lashline. Use any color you want! 1. Clean eyelid nothing on it. 2. Use the Mambo (brown) or Via Veneto (black) eyeliner and color the lash line roughly in. Do one eye at the time as this eyeliner will set in 20-30 seconds. 3. Take a dense small brush and smoke the liner out as much as you need, add another layer of liner to the lashline if it washes out too much, smoke it gently sgain with a brush. 4. Take the translucent crystal powder or soft matte powder in the lighter shades and use it on top of the liner smoking the edge of the liner. 5 take a deep or medium eyeshadow and press and blend it on top of the liner and powder 6. Use the powder again now just at the edge where color meets skintone and blend any harsh liner of the eyeshadow with the powder. The powder gives you perfect blend of softness. 7. Add as many thin layers of eyeshadow + powder until you are happy but the lashline should be the most intense.(edited)
