What's your tip to make the matte concealer in the little

What's your tip to make the matte concealer in the little tub work for you? I use the creamy one for brightening my undereyes or using it to help contour my face but for the love of God, when I need absolute coverage for, say like a spot that won't go away and you have to wait it out before the bump and redness goes down, I try and use the potted one and I just can't make it work for me? 😞

I find warming some up on the back of my hand, and applying in layers to build the coverage works. Also don’t blend it over the actual spot, just diffuse the edges, then apply foundation over the top, and lock in with powder :)
