I love wearing blush as a pop of colour and to add a little dimension to the face. My favourite way to apply powder blush is to swipe it upwards at an angle from the cheek towards the top of the ear as this placement creates a beautiful lifting effect. My top tips for powder blush are:

1. to tap of excess product from your brush before applying
2. build intensity gradually, but don't panic if you're a bit heavy handed you can soften the colour by buffing some translucent powder over the top with a fluffy powder brush to diffuse the colour. Alternatively you can also go over the blush with any left over foundation on your brush

My top tip for liquid blush that's very pigmented is to to apply a small amount to the back of your hand first and tap your brush over it a few times, that way the colour will look softer and not as intense when you apply it to your cheeks.
