when I first started learning how to do winged liner I found it easier to start with a small sharp angled wing liner brush and a gel liner and practiced applying it.
Next, I moved on to applying wings using a liquid liner. it really helps make application easier to work in stages rather than trying to draw the wing in one go:
-
draw small dashs or dots along the lashline
-
join the dots using light pressure and the very tip for a thin line or the side for a thicker line
-
tilt the head back slightly and follow the natural line on the bottom lashline to help with placement of the angle to your wing.
-
fill in any gaps
-
Don’t panic if the wing isn’t the perfect shape, you can quickly sharpen or clean it up using a cotton bud dampened with micellar water or some concealer and a small angled eyebrush.
