when I first started learning how to do winged liner I found it easier to start with a small sharp angled wing liner brush and a gel liner and practiced applying it.

Next, I moved on to applying wings using a liquid liner. it really helps make application easier to work in stages rather than trying to draw the wing in one go:

  1. draw small dashs or dots along the lashline

  2. join the dots using light pressure and the very tip for a thin line or the side for a thicker line

  3. tilt the head back slightly and follow the natural line on the bottom lashline to help with placement of the angle to your wing.

  4. fill in any gaps

  5. Don’t panic if the wing isn’t the perfect shape, you can quickly sharpen or clean it up using a cotton bud dampened with micellar water or some concealer and a small angled eyebrush.
