NARS All-Star
11/04/24-12:13
This month, my favorite NARS product has to be the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. It's been my go-to for years, so itβs definitely an all-time makeup crush! The coverage is just rightβit conceals any imperfections without looking cakey and leaves a natural, radiant finish. I love how lightweight it feels, yet it still lasts all day. Plus, itβs versatile enough to use under my eyes or on any spots, and it blends seamlessly into my skin. This concealer truly lives up to the hype and continues to be a staple in my makeup routine!
This is the Light Reflecting Under eye brightener in the shade night swan. I use it on its own as a light concealer on no makeup makeup days. How I use it the most though is over my concealer as a mid-day touch up. It doesn't mess up my concealer at all, it just adds a bit of brightness and hydration if there is a bit of darkness coming through.
I love to use the light reflecting pressed setting powder to lock my makeup in place and give a glow. I use the shade Crystal which is clear. It has vitamin E to guard against dryness as well as optimising light reflection to fade fine lines and pores! Its photochromic technology adjusts to new light so you never look washed out! It feels weightless on my skin too and gives a mattifying effect.
How to use: when I first get a new compact, I use #13 and swirl it several times to soften the powder. I then tap off any excess and use a sweeping motion to apply. When targetting smaller areas, like under the eyes or around the nose, I use brush #15.
A tip for under eye concelar application is to dot the concealer under the eyes and use your finger tips to the concealer into the skin to blend. Don't forget to apply concealer in the corners of your eyes as well as the upper lids!
One of my favorite NARS-inspired tips is using Laguna Bronzer not just as a bronzer but as a soft, warm eyeshadow for a quick, cohesive look. I blend it into the crease and along the lower lash line for a natural definition that ties in perfectly with bronzed cheeks. Itβs an easy way to create a monochromatic look thatβs both subtle and sculpted.
To achieve a lifted, bright look, apply your concealer strategically rather than covering a large area. Start by dotting concealer at these key points:
1. Inner Corners of Eyes: Add a small dot at the inner corners to brighten up dark circles.
2. Outer Corners of Eyes: Dot a bit upward from the outer corners to create a lifted effect.
3. Corners of Nose and Mouth: Place a small amount at each side of the nose and the corners of the mouth for a more cohesive, smooth finish.
Then, gently blend using a damp makeup sponge or your ring finger. This technique uses less product while giving a natural, brightened look that lifts and defines your features without over-applying concealer.
Start by applying a hydrating eye cream to prep your skin. Next, take a small brush or your fingertip to lightly dab the concealer in the inner and outer corners of your under eyes. Blend it gently, keeping it subtleβremember, a little goes a long way! Finish with a light dusting of translucent powder to prevent creasing.
