over the years my make up needs and styles has changed.
I've had to re learn - adapt and try different products and techniques. BUT!!! ... i have always...
held the mirror and looked down to apply mascara, pointing and liting up and out the outer lashes
used lipgloss and lipstick in multi ways
looked in a mirror in different lighting before leaving the house
If you get a bit carried away with your blush application, don't panic! Apply some translucent powder to a powder brush and go over the blush with buffing motions to soften the pigment to your liking.
I was taught to dab the concealer, let it set whilst doing your bronzer, then blend the concealer and add anlther layer repeating the same process - this provides extra coverage. Especially for nights out
If you are struggling with apply the classic powermatte lipstick because your lips aren't quite soft enough, this is for you.
Apply a lip balm to your lips and wipe off the excess so there's just a very thin coating on your lips.
Wait a few mins for it to settle in, then apply your matte lipstick. It will go on nice and smooth and fade to matte as the lip balm settles in. This gives a soft matte finish but if you want a sharper finish, wait till the lip balm fades to matte then go over the top with another layer of lipstick for sharp edges and a powerful pigment.
My favorite NARS-inspired pro tip is all about multi-tasking with the Laguna Bronzer! Not only is it perfect for adding warmth and definition to the face, but I also love using it as an eyeshadow for a subtle, sun-kissed look. It adds just the right amount of depth to the crease while keeping the overall look soft and natural. For lipsticks, my hack for lasting pigment is to layer the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil under any gloss or satin finish β it keeps the color locked in all day without drying out your lips! #NARSMagic #ProTips
I have really dry skin so to make sure my foundation doesn't stick to dry skin patches & that it lasts all day looking beautiful. I like to take a thick moisturiser that I layer on my face like a face mask for 5 minutes to get a little extra hydration before I apply my make up & it helps to prevent dry patches. x
