A glowy but natural base, especially for mature skin
I love the soft matte concealer in Cafe au Lait to cover spots/blemishes - it blends so easily. My main base is the light reflecting foundation in Patagonia - I use my fingers to blend as I find the heat helps it melt into my skin. I work with 1 pump at a time and build it up in thin layers as needed. For my under eye, I go in with the radiant concealer in honey - I add the tiniest dot of the concealer to my under eye and blend it with my ring finger. I like to leave my base to settle whilst I do my brows, eye makeup, bronzer and blush. Once done, I pat my under eye with my ring finger to ensure that anything that has settled in my lines and wrinkles is blended out (I do sometimes use a single ply face tissue to dab away any moisture under my eyes too) before giving the lightest dusting of my loose powder to set it and also dust my t-zone (using a dabbing motion rather than sweeping). I've struggled with cakey makeup in the past so as I've aged, I love how this base looks - like I've got makeup on, but with a slight luminosity and natural glow on my almost 49 year old textured, lined, wrinkled, freckly skin. I only discovered Nars in July but really wish I'd found it years ago - love the stuff!
