My Review Posted on Nars for Afterglow Lip Balm in shade Miseducation --
I was fortunate to receive a Nars Afterglow Lip Balm in the shade Miseducation to test and review as a member of the Nars Community. I have been using this lip balm for a week and I am really loving the hydration that it delivers to the lips. The shade Miseducation is a pretty glossy cherry red colour that looks very attractive and you can wear it as subtle or as bold as desired. It really does have great build ability making it very versatile. The Nars Afterglow Lip Balm offers subtle, buildable colour with a lovely shine that lasts about 2-4 hours with normal wear. Since it's primarily a hydrating lip balm rather than a long wearing lipstick, the tint naturally fades with eating, drinking, and daily activities. However, the moisturising benefits continue throughout the day leaving lips feeling soft and smooth, and you can easily reapply to maintain the colour intensity. The sheer, glossy finish creates a natural flush that's perfect for everyday wear and easy touch ups. With multiple applications, you can achieve anything from a natural flush to a more noticeable lip look whilst maintaining the glossy, comfortable finish. The balm formula allows smooth layering without becoming heavy or cakey which is perfect for customising your desired colour intensity throughout the day. I love that this lip balm contains vitamins and oxidants as well as SPF 10 to keep the lips protected and nourished all the time it is worn. The balm is also very wearable for sensitive lips as the formula is both fragrance free and alcohol free, which helps prevent irritation. In conclusion I definitely recommend the Afterglow Lip Balm and I shall be investigating other shades in the range. Blooming Into Glow 🌸
For spring, I switch to a lighter, more glowy base; less heavy coverage, more fresh skin. I love a soft radiant finish with a touch of blush to bring that natural flush back after winter! :)
My go-to is the NARS Light Reflecting Foundation for that dewy, skin-like glow + a creamy blush for that rosy finish!💕
Simple, fresh, and glowing ✨For spring, I’m all about lighter, skin-first makeup; swapping full coverage for a fresh, radiant base that lets my skin breathe.
My go-to is the NARS Light Reflecting Foundation for a dewy, second-skin finish, paired with a touch of blush to bring warmth back into my complexion after winter <3
Less coverage, more glow! spring skin, but elevated✨ Spring for me is all about soft, fresh skin and a natural glow 🌸✨
As the season changes, I find myself reaching for lighter layers, dewy finishes, and a touch of blush for that rosy, alive look 🌷
My go-to this season has to be NARS Light Reflecting Foundation, it gives me that effortless, skin-like glow without ever feeling heavy 💄
This is your reminder that sometimes, less really is more 🤍
Less layers, more glow, more confidence 💕
#SpringIntoComplexion This spring I chose to return to simplicity and hydration, focusing on restoring my skin’s natural balance after the colder months. I replaced heavier winter textures with lightweight moisturizers and hydrating serums rich in hyaluronic acid, allowing my skin to feel fresh, supple, and luminous. Gentle exfoliation became part of my routine to reveal a smoother, more radiant surface, while daily sun protection remains essential to preserve that healthy glow. My makeup reflects this renewed approach — light, breathable coverage that enhances rather than conceals, a soft flush on the cheeks, naturally defined brows, and subtle emphasis on the eyes. For me, spring beauty is about skin that looks cared for, hydrated, and effortlessly radiant, where makeup feels like a delicate extension of skincare rather than a mask. #wintervibescompetition
🌫❄️ W I N D B U R N ❄️🌫The depths of the English winter graces us with a biting clarity. Knife-edged breezes sweep across the grey, desaturated, bleak, and frigid landscape. The air is crisp and laced with frost, clinging to your skin like a cold silk veil, making your face feel like a sculpted mask of marble. Beneath that deepening numbness, blood rushes to the surface, roseating your cheeks vivid, and windswept.
NARS Powder Blusher in Thrill takes centre stage here for a perfect "cold" cheek, with supporting acts from Laguna Bronzing Powder (02), Light Reflecting Powder Luminizer (Eros), Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder (Crystal) and Soft Matte Complete Concealer (L2) ❄️🩵❄️ Because winter in the UK can be grey, cold, and a little unforgiving 😅—and this NARS combo brings my face straight back to life.
My winter hero: NARS Orgasm Blush + Sheer Pleasure Lip Balm 💖
The blush gives that soft peachy-pink flush that looks like a natural cold-weather glow (not flat, not dull), even when my skin’s feeling tired from the chill. It adds warmth without looking heavy, which is everything in winter.
The lip balm is my secret weapon: hydrating, glossy, and just enough tint to keep my lips looking healthy instead of dry and cracked. Perfect for those frosty mornings and low-light days.
For me, winter in the UK is about comfort, warmth, and effortless glow—and this duo keeps my look fresh, radiant, and cozy all season long ✨❄️ ❄️ Winter mood in the UK ✨
For me, winter isn't just about cold and gray skies, but the warm glow of fairy lights, a festive feeling, and moments when you can allow yourself to be especially beautiful. A cozy evening, a glass of sparkling wine, and a feeling of "I like myself"—that's my winter.
My winter hero from NARS is NARS Lipstick 💄
In winter, skin and appearance often lack definition, but this lipstick instantly adds depth, confidence, and that special touch that pulls the whole look together. It completes your makeup look even in the soft winter light and lasts well through long evenings.
Winter is the perfect time to shine, even when it's dark outside. ✨ 🎃👻 NIGHTMARE GLAM 🎃👻
My entry for the NARS Nightmare Glam competition, which is all about facing your fears and being brave with makeup.
For this look, I used my NARS Multiple Stick as eyeshadow. The shade I have is Sinful, which is a brick red. I love using it as lipstick, but I've always been very cautious about wearing shades of red around the eyes. That's why for this look, I used lots of it around my eyes.
I'm wearing black lipstick for this look. A few years ago, I was invited to a Halloween party and wanted something slightly different, so I bought a black lipstick, and that was my first time trying it. Initially, I was really cautious about wearing it, in case it looked odd or didn't suit me. While it's not my everyday go-to lip colour, I love how dark and dramatic it is.
I faced my makeup fears - what about you?
